Open the programming software for four different machines and you will often find the same window, the same device tree, and the same editors. That is not a coincidence. CODESYS is a development system and a runtime that hardware manufacturers license, brand, and ship, which means learning it once carries across an entire catalogue of equipment: Wago, Schneider, ABB, Bosch Rexroth, ifm, Festo, Opto 22, and hundreds more.
