Theo and the Worry Creatures

Theo and the Worry Creatures is a gentle, imaginative children's book that helps young readers understand anxiety and learn healthy ways to manage their worries.

Theo is a thoughtful child who discovers that his worries aren't just feelings-they're fuzzy little creatures that appear whenever anxious thoughts take over. At first, the Worry Creatures feel big, loud, and overwhelming. But with guidance, curiosity, and simple coping strategies, Theo learns that worries don't have to control him. As he practices calming skills and challenges anxious thoughts, the Worry Creatures begin to shrink-showing children that worries can be managed, not feared.

Blending storytelling with evidence-based emotional skills, Theo and the Worry Creatures introduces concepts such as emotional awareness, cognitive reframing, and self-soothing in a developmentally appropriate and accessible way. The book offers a supportive framework for children to name their worries, understand where they come from, and build confidence in handling them.

Perfect for ages 4-8, this book is ideal for families, classrooms, and therapy settings. It serves as a valuable resource for parents, educators, and mental-health professionals looking to start meaningful conversations about anxiety, resilience, and emotional regulation.
