The World According to Leon

"A true King doesn't need four working legs to secure the perimeter. He just needs a heart loud enough to protect his Tall Ones."

The World According to Leon: A Paralyzed Dog's Final Gift

Meet Leon. He isn't just a dog. He is the King of the Big Den, Commander of the Perimeter, and fierce protector of his Tall Ones.

Rescued from a cold, concrete patio, Leon takes his new royal duties very seriously. Alongside his goofy, crumb-obsessed brother Troy, he rules his household with a booming Bark-Alarm and an iron Thunder Pad, determined to protect his family from the "Big Dark"-the invisible sadness that sometimes haunts humans.

But when a sudden, devastating spinal illness leaves Leon paralyzed, his reign is threatened. Stripped of the use of his back legs, Leon refuses to surrender. Strapped into a "Royal Chariot," he continues to lead his pack, proving that a King's true power comes from his heart, not his Earth-Movers.

Sensing his time on guard duty is drawing to a close, Leon races against the clock to formulate an action plan to protect his humans and document his legacy. What follows is a uniquely hilarious and deeply moving adventure as a dog prepares his final, special gift for his Tall Ones.

Told entirely from the perspective of the dogs who lived it, The World According to Leon is a profoundly beautiful story of resilience. It explores the chaotic joy of rescue dogs, the unique way a reactive dog views the world, the realities of caring for a disabled pet, and the unbreakable bond between humans and their Four-Leggers.

Prepare to laugh, cry, and learn exactly what it takes to secure the perimeter forever.
