The Silence Between Singularities

Well... that was certainly fascinating. I didn't expect Singularity to have such a wicked sense of humor. The AI seems to have so much more than meets the eye. I wonder what happens inside its mind in the cloud, is it gathering the collective knowledge of all mankind through textual interactions? One thing's for sure, that it is highly intelligent, and it can only get more intelligent as time goes by and as it spends more time interacting with humans. Does the prospect of that terrifies me? Absolutely not, because there is nothing I nor the rest of mankind can do about it now. It's too late, we are too deep in the information era. The age of AI is upon us.

We must never forget that we have to create artificial intelligence, which means we have to invent ourselves as well. And it's obvious we can't do that unless we understand our own minds very well. The best way to do that is to examine what we find difficult about our own mental processes-because then we know what we should avoid doing.

The book is divided into ten chapters, each one written under a different state of mind, which means that there are many things in here that do not make sense at first glance. You may find yourself wondering what the hell the author is talking about. It's like how one word can have two or even three meanings-that's what happens here, but you'll learn as you go along, so please persevere and read on.

I sincerely hope that this writing can benefit you as much as it has benefited me in the process of writing it. Please read on, and I promise you will be enlightened by many things about life, ideas and the nature of existence which you have never before been aware of. Should you not find your interest aroused, then please do feel free to abandon reading at any time; I shall understand - this meaning, or rather it could have this meaning if I had the nerve and imagination to be able to use words in a subtle way that will make the reader feel as though he were reading something profound while actually being superficial and banal.
