The Marine's Second Chance

CAN A BROKEN PROMISE AND A LIGHTHOUSE BRING TWO HEARTS BACK TOGETHER?

NYLAH
I had it all figured out. My event business was doing great, I was marrying the town doctor, and I was saving up for the old lighthouse I always dreamed of. Then HE showed up. Malik. The guy who broke my heart twelve years ago when he disappeared without saying goodbye. Now he's back-with scars, a military haircut, and the deed to MY lighthouse. The worst part? Working with him makes all those old feelings come rushing back. When I found out why he really left-to protect me from his violent father-I started questioning everything. Now my "perfect" fiancé is showing his true colors, and Malik and I are fighting to save our lighthouse from greedy developers. I never thought I'd get a second chance with my first love... but some flames never really die out.

MALIK
I never wanted to come back to this town. But after getting injured in combat, I needed a purpose. Buying that old lighthouse seemed right-until I realized Nylah wanted it too. The girl I left behind. The woman I never stopped loving. She's even more beautiful now-confident, successful, and engaged to someone else. She has no idea I left to protect her, that walking away was the hardest thing I've ever done. Now we're reluctant business partners, and being near her is pure torture. When vandals target our property and her fiancé shows his true motives, we find ourselves fighting side by side. But the biggest battle? Convincing Nylah that what we lost years ago is worth fighting for now. That some promises are meant to be broken.
