The Hollow Ones

The Hollow Ones

A Novel by Joe Egly
From Amazon Bestselling Author Joe Egly comes a chilling supernatural epic set in a forgotten corner of 1980s Indiana, where childhood ends-and something else begins.

Millville, Indiana. Summer of 1986.

The air is thick with heat, bikes are kicked into the grass, and the only things on thirteen-year-old Jonah Boone's mind are comics, cherry soda, and not thinking too hard about the empty desk in homeroom. The one that used to belong to a girl nobody else remembers.

Because now no one says her name. Not his teachers. Not his friends. Not even his mom.

As Jonah and his tight-knit group of friends-Cassie, Eli, Toby, and Del-try to enjoy the first days of summer break, strange things begin to stir in the quiet corners of town. Baby monitors pick up whispers from rooms that aren't there. Drawings erase themselves. Rooms rearrange. And Jonah can't shake the feeling that something has followed him out of a dream-and into the basement.

Beneath Millville lie the Caverns, a sprawling and ancient network of passages that doesn't appear on any map. Something has awakened there-something old, hungry, and not quite dead. And it's pulling at the frayed edges of reality, feeding on memory, erasing the things we love just before we forget we ever had them.

To stop it, Jonah and his friends will have to follow the echoes, unlock the truths hidden in their own histories, and break the rules of a world that's already coming apart.

But the Hollow Ones do not forget.

And they do not forgive.

The Hollow Ones is a slow-burn horror epic in the tradition of Stephen King's IT and Stranger Things-a nostalgic, emotionally rich story about friendship, fear, and what waits in the dark when no one remembers your name.
