Maybe imagination isn't about making things up. Maybe it's about learning to see what's been there all along.
Danny is eight years old. He's thoughtful, curious, and a little lonely. One evening, he notices a face looking back at him from his dinner plate. Everyone else dismisses it, but Danny can't. That moment leads him outside to his favorite place-a giant oak tree.
He looks up into the branches and notices a strange face looking at him. There is Gino, a tiny gnome who has spent a very long time hidden in the branches of the Giant Oak, hoping that someday someone would finally notice him.
Together, they embark on a journey, seeing extraordinary things hidden in ordinary places. They discover a playful pirate in the stars, a worried wild horse among the clouds, and a brave warrior guarding the mountains. They are all there, waiting for someone willing to look a little differently.
By the end, they know the greatest discovery isn't the pirate, the horse, or the warrior.
It is finding a friend.
