What happens when information is no longer the main problem?
Modern systems can collect more data, process it faster, and generate increasingly sophisticated outputs. Yet better information does not automatically produce better judgment, coordination, or outcomes.
RI: The Next Paradigm Beyond Information begins from a different premise:
What is the system actually trying to preserve, achieve, or avoid at runtime-and can that intent remain valid as judgment becomes action?
The Full Edition presents the complete theoretical development of Runtime Intent (RI).
RI examines what happens between information and action: how intent is formed, judgment is made, context is interpreted, meaning is carried forward, responsibility is distributed, and decisions remain-or cease to remain-valid as they move through complex systems.
At the center of RI are several distinctions:
Local correctness is not the same as end-to-end correctness.
Preserving a decision outcome is not the same as preserving the semantics of the judgment that produced it.
Continuing a process is not the same as preserving the validity of the intent behind that process.
A system may contain correct calculations, competent people, reliable software, sound procedures, and sophisticated AI-and still produce a globally wrong outcome.
The failure may emerge because judgment changes meaning as it moves, assumptions expire, context disappears, responsibility fragments, or a process continues after the conditions that justified it are no longer valid.
The Full Edition develops RI across human judgment, organizations, software systems, workflows, automation, distributed decision chains, and AI-assisted environments.
It examines questions such as:
How can locally correct decisions become globally incorrect?
What must be preserved when judgment moves from one actor or system to another?
When does a valid decision stop being valid?
When does continuation become Forced Continuation?
Where should a Revalidation Point exist?
How should intent, context, authority, responsibility, and action remain aligned?
What must intelligent systems preserve beyond data, rules, predictions, and outputs?
A central concern is semantic continuity: whether a decision chain still carries the original intent, or merely carries forward an outcome that once represented it.
RI is not another AI algorithm, optimization method, governance checklist, or software architecture.
It is a way of understanding the runtime semantic state of a decision system as information becomes judgment, judgment becomes commitment, and commitment becomes action.
The Full Edition is written for researchers, architects, engineers, technology leaders, managers, AI practitioners, and system designers working with complex environments where decisions do not remain local.
When information is abundant, intelligence alone is not enough.
The next problem is whether intent can survive the journey from judgment to action.
