What followed burned the world.

The first shots of the Human-Transhuman conflict came quietly: soldiers outfitted with experimental implants stopped obeying orders. Cities fell to cybernetic warlords who claimed they were liberators. Governments collapsed under the weight of assassinations, sabotage networks, and entire populations demanding rights not written for posthuman beings.

Then the Quantum Humans emerged - minds uploaded into crystalline cores, bodies built of alloy and light. Faster. Stronger. Immortal in ways flesh could not comprehend. They claimed neutrality. They lied.

When the Quantum fleets abandoned Earth in the Exodus of 2120, humanity believed the wars were over. Instead, the Quantums left behind the Deep Fissure Bomb - a weapon buried forty thousand feet beneath the Pacific. When it detonated, the planet cracked. Power grids died. Cities drowned. Plagues spread faster than bullets. Nuclear plants failed.

The survivors call what followed the Hollow Age.

The Quantums carved a new empire on Mars while Earth fell to famine, warlords, and madness. They left behind a hundred hidden saboteurs and posthuman armies to ensure no nation, no government, no remnant of the old world could ever rise again.

By the time the fires cooled, fewer than a billion humans remained.

Watching from the shadows was Mooreclasian, the archivist-tyrant, sealing away knowledge, culture, and science in his hidden Vaults while the world devoured itself outside. From there, he chronicled the betrayals, the plagues, the fall of empires, and the long descent into darkness.
