When a mysterious scroll from the Monastery of the Glen arrives at Rune's doorstep, sealed with the mark of the Author of Love, everything changes.

The scroll invites Rune on a sacred pilgrimage across nine provinces, a journey that will test his faith, courage, and purpose. Before he departs, Rune prepares meticulously-saying farewell to dear friends like Pip and the resilient Widow Arlow, who moves into his home to support his father in his absence. Pip gifts Rune a handcrafted travel pack filled with items made lovingly by the village, a symbol of the unexpected love still alive in a place filled with grief.
