MIND-MIRRORS

He put in my hands the pen of a steady writer this bible verse has remained a challenge to heart since God brought me into a personal encounter with a book called inspired by e-mails. In 2003 just right after Secondary School Education. The book was owned by my sister (now Dr Sunkanmi Sotinwa). There is a reason I write and its because I am an introvert ,it got so bad at a time I couldn't speak well due to my timid nature so I buried my head in the books in my family library, then the words and experiences stuck and eventually made a wonder of me! It is beyond the issue of putting thoughts to paper but engaging my five senses to the situations around and then my mind got overwhelmed with letters!
My family encouraged me, but not adequately as I would have had my very best initial poems published but about 40 of them are now missing. Other opportunities came after I gained admission to study Mass Communication at tertiary level, and this of course, polished my literary creativity. The search for better writing techniques made me join the Abuja Writer Forum (AWF) and once I won a third runner up position in a poetry contest at the forum. The Songs of Solomon is deeper than just reading through. The metaphors, similes, personifications and the other literary devices embedded in the Bible book really makes it spectacular and its one of the best love book ever written. It is important for everyone to imbibe the habit of a poet that helps you personally discover how to solve issues internally through putting down thoughts and solving them like a mathematical equation, the Holy Scripture says write them plain so that he that readeth it will run"(i.e be guided). As the years rolled by I joined the Abuja Literary Society (ALS); Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA)( I was nominated as a member of their anthology committee). Also this anthology named Mind-Mirrors will be my second anthology ,the first anthology was published in 2017 named Realizations@30 (which was very successful with sales) ,it eventually got accredited by Education Resource Centre(ERC), Abuja to the glory of God. There is therefore so much gain in writing than in making money through writing.
