Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy of Pakistan. It employs 48% of total labor force at the national level and its contribution to GDP and exports earnings is 24 and 75% respectively. Wild oats has increased tremendously in the rainfed and irrigated areas of the country as well as elsewhere in the world.
