HeartWork

We would rather change the Bible than the heart. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes. We measure us by us. I measure me by me, not realizing the Bible should be the measure I measure myself. If the Bible says stop sinning, I cannot say, well this is not going to hurt me. I am measuring the sin by my heart and not by the Heart of God when God measures sin by death---the wages of sin is death-I cannot change me by my thoughts. My mind. My preference. It has to be done by Word. We program ourselves to think we are good. That our stuff doesn't stink. We justify treating people wrong, because they did it to me first. Or I am justified by what they did to treat them or say to them what they deserve. Some of us try to justify our thoughts by what we do for others and deep in the core of you, you know you hate that person. not forgiving them but you put on an appearance by works that you love but you do not. Our programming is 'I'm okay with God, everybody else is wrong.' 'I can live any kind of way, say anything go anywhere, God knows my heart. Yes, He does, and it's deceitful. We try to overshadow working on our heart with doing things-when you know evil, meanness, rudeness, hypocritical, dissimilating, and divisive, cannot say sorry, and cannot be a peacemaker, you sit in church with hate, only wanting God to change them but not you---but God says it's time to get in the core to become a real Christian, a real disciple, a spirit led person who has a balance of power. We are faking. We are not real. We are covered with smiles, hugs, handshakes, food, gifts, you know you don't like them. Meeting needs but the heart is foul. There are four persons that know un-genuinness; a child, a real man, people in the streets, and a drunk. There are many ways that seem right, but the end is destruction. We cannot be right in our own eyes but in God's eyes. Our ways must please Him not me and not you. pleasing each other but pleasing God. We must be willing to do the hard work. The victory work--The heart work. This work requires us to dig, to excavate. To uproot, to tear down. To pluck up. Strongholds. Wounds. Take the weeds out. Till the soil. Hammer it. Plow it. Pluck it to make our hearts fertile for God. To hear God, to know God. The Word is failing us not because the Word cannot do but because our hearts are not plowed, for the Word to do what it needs to do. The work of the blood of Jesus required a transfusion because we were seriously injured by sin. However, The Blood is not flowing because stone has caused a blockage. The fullness of God cannot flow through your body, he cannot dwell inside because the heart is stone-bitter, unforgiving, full of toxins from the past- dirty, filthy. God says it's time to do the hard work of heart work so that He can give you a heart of flesh where His blood can run free through your body and do the redemptive work that He sent Jesus to die for.
