Gran came for the fjords. Somebody else came to get away with murder.
Moira Dire has agreed to a Norwegian cruise with her grandchildren, Ollie and Sam. She expects magnificent scenery, proper tea and a bathroom that doesn't require technical qualifications.
She certainly doesn't expect to become the ship's newest comedy sensation.
But a borrowed dinner jacket, a stick-on moustache and one spectacular misunderstanding introduce the passengers to George Dire-a surprisingly sharp-tongued gentleman who looks remarkably like his own wife.
Then a passenger is found dead.
When a second death puts George's costume under suspicion, Moira's holiday becomes considerably more complicated than locating the breakfast buffet. Someone aboard is hiding a dangerous secret, and her accidental stage career has landed her uncomfortably close to it.
Between rebellious moustaches, disastrous costume changes and questions the audience mistakes for comedy, Gran begins noticing things that don't quite add up. With Ollie and Sam trying to keep her out of trouble, she must work out which passengers are pretending-and which performance could be somebody's last.
The follow-up to Gran's Gloriously Confused Rainbow Adventure brings Moira Dire's formidable opinions to a floating murder mystery, where the clues are slippery, the tea is inadequate and even the soft furnishings deserve suspicion.
