Here's a question that is an answer. Yesterday I had to go west to pick up an aunt at a time long pre-scheduled, so fixed. To go west I drive I 10. At 24th st. on approach it looked like traffic was moving. I got on the ramp though and it was backed up 20 deep. Cars pulled in behind me. I made a snap judgment. Even though the curbs on the ramp are double high, I jumped them on two spinning tries, spun around in the dirt, drove back and got off, down to 7th St. I got back on on to see it was solid the whole way. Whole freeway closed. had I stayed I might still be there. WHY DID NOBODY FOLLOW ME IN THE ESCAPE?
I'M INTERESTED IN THE ESCAPE. It must follow that leadership is indoctrination, but freedom as risk taking cannot be followed, patterned, imitated or followed except as a form of slavery. How these opposites interpenetrate each other in social interaction overwhelm the fact in the moment, like the freeway is closed, let's get off. The signal, let's get off, may be heard, but not processed to action because of the host of cautions and fears and indoctrinations that overwhelm the moment of escape. So they stay in their place. There is no escape. Classically, in the Valley of the Passengers in Ezekiel, the go not down from your rooftops, head for the hills, the catching out or up, Parousia! apparently has to be done to you, not by you. The passive waiting to be delivered, what is that, selected cars jacked out by turbo-tractors, planetary bulldozers. See how broad deliverance is.
