Cue The Light!

From the booth, you can see everything. Nobody can see you.

Theo Marsh is sixteen, a deacon's son, and the best liar in Harlan Springs, Arkansas. He runs the light booth at the high school, where he can see every face in the house and no one can see his. That's the whole reason he loves it.

Then Sam Okafor walks into auditions, flat on every high note and out and unafraid, and looks straight up at the glass.

Over one school year, Theo has to decide how much of himself he's willing to put in the light: with his best friend, his church, the linebacker who won't let it go, and a father who has never once come to watch him work.

Cue the Light is a funny, tender young adult novel about coming out as a process, not a single scene. It's about the people who get it wrong, the people who get it right, and the people who have been loving you in code until you hand them the key.

Perfect for readers who love:

• Small-town, southern settings with real heart
• Faith, family, and first love, all in the same story
• Stories that make you laugh first, then wreck you
• Theater kids, tech crews, and anyone who has ever stood in the back row
