Universal High Income? Please. Don't be silly.

Let's be serious for a few seconds.

Do you really think tech billionaires are sitting in boardrooms saying:

"You know what would be amazing? Let's just hand out cash to millions of people who just lost their jobs to our own automation".
Knowing mass unemployed people who lost their meaning will spend it developing quirky new ways of status signalling...

Or do you think they're planning the next orbital resort, underwater city, or jurisdiction-free research space station?

History vote goes to: toys > charity.

And don't romanticize "Universal Basic Income" either.

First, it won't be income.
It'll be Universal Basic Credit. Programmable. Conditional.
