Calling EG Plummer a hometown hero is an understatement. Trying to guess how many lives this man touched is impossible because while he meant so much to so many high school athletes in Danville, he touched lives of all ages with his smile, demeanor and kindness. Bill Carman knew Plummer first as a coach and then later as a friend like many of us did.
Plummer was a SEC championship runner at the University of Kentucky and produced numerous team and individual state champions in track and cross country at Danville. However, he coached the slowest runner with the same passion as he did the championship runners and no one supported the running community in the Danville area more than him.
This book, including the photos, gives you a look into his remarkable life. While words cannot truly explain the impact this man had, this book lets you have a chance to understand why even though he might be gone, E.G. Plummer's legacy will be here forever.
