There is nothing quite like the peaceful farmland sitting just outside of Madison, Wisconsin. Though there is something simmering beneath the surface. Waiting to get out.
James Tedford would soon find out what that is. While helping his grandmother clean out years' worth of accumulated junk by burning it behind the barn. But there was more than just junk she was getting rid of. Mixed in with numerous boxes of odds and ends. James found the withered remains of a man rolled in a carpet. The mystery starts to unravel.
Grandma's dog isn't what he seems to be. Durning the day he's a sweet tiny mutt. But when the sun goes down. He changes into a beast that could only be from the depths of hell. And grandma is not the quaint old lady James knew growing up. She was guarding something. Keeping a secret from everyone except her next-door neighbors who were involved in the mystery dwelling beneath the ground.
Enthralled in the mystery, James finds secret tunnels stretching deep within the land. Only to discover that a demon is living there. Can James find the reasons why his grandma is protecting evil? Or, will he fall to the hooves of a beast that his family has been protecting for millennia.
