As a writer-in-residence at Yellowstone National Park where she taught writing to countless visitors, Katya Williamson discovered she had the ability to help many access their creative potential. Since then, for the past sixteen years, she has helped women discover their writing voices in the United States and United Kingdom through a simple user friendly way to write that also allows one to reach into a depth that is profound and universal. The results have been remarkable, and the hundreds of women impacted over the years have affectionately called it 'calmly, risky writing'. Katya holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, and has advocated women and artists all her life, also founding an artists' cooperative years ago in Connecticut that is still flourishing today, with a book she wrote on this experience at the American Council For The Arts. She has written an anthology of poetry from her writer's residency in Yellowstone, and story of her solo pilgrimage to Glastonbury, England which has spawned years of sacred site tours she has led there for women writers.
