Acid Dream and Other Essays, Poems, Stories and Songs is a small collection of the author's favorites he had saved over time. Not a songwriter or a poet by heart he has included a few in this collection to give it an appeal of what his collection was like as a teenager. Like most teenagers in America he too had shoved all his writings away where no one would see them feeling intimidated if someone found out. The objective of this collection is centered around "An Essay on Writing An Essay": instructions on writing a basic structure of an essay the author has written with high school and college students in mind. He was encouraged to write it by friends he has taught who knew little about the subject. "Acid Dream" is the only essay he has kept over the years since his long ago days of high school and has rewritten many times. "How to Talk to Your Ex-wife" and "The Last Word on Grace Metalious" were two he threw in at the last moment before publishing this collection.
