Absolution

A priest is unable to listen any longer to the depravity of others, unable to grant the absolution to individuals who continue to commit the same sin over and over, only to return to him each time for absolution, the Priest decides to leave it all behind and give up the cloth. However, the Priest cannot escape what he knows, nor can he share what he knows with the authorities. Haunted by the sins of others - sins told to him by way of the confessional - the Priest returns to the church where it all began and finds a new way of providing absolution.

This is Sommer's first case in her new position as Special Agent in Charge, a role she didn't even know she wanted, and already it's causing problems in her marriage. Jeremiah, having been overlooked for the promotion himself, must find a way to deal with her promotion and work for as well. Will Jeremiah remain with the team, or will he ask for a transfer to another office? How will his decision effect their marriage? Will they figure out the identity of the killer and stop them before they strike again?
