A New Book

A calm, immersive way to learn Italian through story.

A New Book: Bilingual Italian-English Stories follows Luca as he discovers that his new neighbourhood holds more secrets, memories and unexpected connections than he first imagined. Behind familiar streets and ordinary doorways, he begins to find places that reveal the lives of the people around him, and help him understand his own changing sense of home.

Across four interconnected stories, Luca discovers a forgotten garden hidden behind an old wall, explores a small bookshop filled with stories and memories, and helps Carlo with a bicycle that carries a special connection to the past. In the final story, music drifting from an open window introduces him to an older neighbour.

From a secluded garden and a welcoming local bookshop to a familiar street filled with the sound of a piano, these stories celebrate the overlooked details that give a neighbourhood its character. Gentle mysteries, personal memories and everyday encounters bring warmth and depth to Luca's continuing journey.

Designed for adult learners at pre-intermediate A2 level, this collection develops reading confidence through authentic Italian storytelling, increasingly varied sentences and a growing range of past-tense narration. Repeated vocabulary appears in fresh situations, allowing readers to recognise familiar language while gradually expanding their understanding.

Part of the structured Pomme Bilingual 52 Story Method, this book continues the reading progression towards greater independence. Rather than teaching through memorisation or isolated grammar exercises, it encourages learners to absorb Italian through context, repetition and meaningful stories.

Ideal for adult learners who want to develop their Italian through reading, this collection combines language learning with the pleasure of discovering the hidden stories and quiet beauty of everyday life.
