Through Light and Shadow

As tensions flare in humanity's new settlement on an alien world,  Renata and SAMI find themselves caught in a conspiracy that puts the population's rebound at risk. Recognizing Ren and SAMI as a serious threat, the conspirators sabotage their shuttle, stranding  them in the middle of a vast alien forest full of unknown predators while they unleash chaos in the settlement. Rescued by a mysterious alien race living deep in the forest, they are invited to take part in a ritual that will push the humans to their limits. Their rescuers want to hunt them through the forest, but will become potential new allies if they succeed. In order to survive, Ren and SAMI will push the edges of what is possible for an Oraculi, eroding the barrier between their identities in the process. Something new emerges from that forest, and the conspirators won't realize what is coming for them.
