Shattering of Babel

The flood is over. The world is rebuilding. And Mezaliel is still watching. For centuries he was bound in chains between heaven and earth, suspended in the silence that follows catastrophe, forced to witness what he cannot touch. He has seen humanity rise from eight survivors into nations. He has seen them gather their ambitions into stone and mortar on the plain of Shinar and reach, once again, for what was never theirs to take.He knows how this ends. He always knows how it ends. But when a visitor appears who has not come since the day of his binding, Mezaliel discovers that what he thought was punishment may have been preparation. And what comes next may be harder than anything he has yet endured.Tastari records it all and keeps vigil. Still learning what it costs to bear witness to a testimony spanning the rise and fall of everything. But he learns that the testimony is not just spoken, it is transformative. And while he is being changed into something yet unknown, a visitor arrives at the door; wounded, hunted, carrying a name already passing into legend. If there is ever a night when you have nowhere left to go, there is a place. The Shattering of Babel continues the testimony of the Fallen Watcher. Welcome to The Scrolls of Mezaliel: Book Two
