Lights Out

Ten years ago, Cassie and Anders swore revenge on the powerful man who murdered their partner. For a decade, they've waited for their chance to strike, but billionaire Michael Essien lives at the top of a heavily fortified, high-tech skyscraper, protected by cutting-edge security systems that make him virtually untouchable. Until the night the entire world goes dark. A devastating solar storm is approaching, threatening to knock out electricity across the planet for twelve terrifying hours. As the global blackout plunges cities into chaos and brings modern technology to a standstill, Cassie and Anders finally have their opportunity to strike. With the skyscraper's sophisticated defences disabled, they can make their way towards the man they've spent ten years plotting to kill. But getting inside is only the beginning. Michael Essien knows that the blackout will leave him vulnerable, and he's spent years preparing for the possibility that his enemies might come for him. Trapped in a towering fortress without power, Cassie and Anders are about to discover that their carefully planned revenge mission has turned into a deadly fight for survival. And before the lights come back on, someone is going to die. Lights Out is a fast-paced science fiction techno-thriller about a catastrophic solar storm, a worldwide power outage and a deadly mission of revenge.
