She was born in an inland Levantine city, enclosed by seven gates... yet a paradise among cities, both historically and geographically. She lived in an environment of love, within a family open to all, firmly believing that "e;the homeland belongs to everyone."e; It was a religiously diverse family, but intellectually harmonious... and there was nothing wrong with that, as they believed that "e;religion is for God alone."e; She grew up in a mixed environment and a co-educational school that did not teach religion. The family chose that school for their only daughter based on this fundamental principle in their lives. He... was born in a coastal Levantine city, open to the horizon, yet closed in on itself... a magnificent seaside city. He lived in a homogeneous environment, within a family whose thinking was ideologically contradictory, despite that homogeneity dominating the details of their lives: they showed little interest in the issues of the "e;nation,"e; but rather in "e;religion"e; and its daily rituals...
