Environment and feed pollutants

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Guide of the Nation to the Straight Path, and upon his family, companions, and followers until the Day of Judgment. Animal, poultry, and fish nutrition is no longer merely a science of identifying traditional and non-traditional feedstuffs, or simply a matter of understanding their nutritional value. Rather, it has become a crucial focus on identifying substances that have a harmful effect on living organisms and their various products-substances known as pollutants. Pollution and pollutants have captured the attention of humanity worldwide due to their severe threat to human health and well-being. Protecting the environment and eliminating pollutants found in the air, water, and soil has become a duty, not a luxury, given the drastic changes and fluctuations they have caused in the climate in which humans live. Nature has responded forcefully to humanity's poor performance and irrational use of environmental resources in the form of hurricanes, floods, droughts, and the disappearance of many forms of life. In this context, we find that all religions urge humanity not to pollute the environment in which they live. Islam calls for this in the verse, "e;And do not cause corruption on the earth after its reformation"e; (Al-A'raf 7:56), and in the verse, "e;Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of people have earned, so that He may let them taste some of what they have done, so that perhaps they will return [to the right path]"e; (Ar-Rum 30:41). The Bible also states, "e;The drunkard and the glutton will become poor"e; (Proverbs 21:23). Therefore, it was imperative for us to dedicate this book to the environment and food and feed pollutants, given their significant importance in preserving life on planet Earth. This book is divided into six chapters. The first chapter, entitled "e;The Environment,"e; addresses the definition of the environment and its components, environmental balance and imbalance, and human efforts to preserve the environment. The second chapter covers all the contaminants that can be found in animal feed, the extent of the harm they cause, and how to prevent and reduce these contaminants and their effects. The third chapter includes a set of tables that define the standards and permissible limits for various contaminants in food and feed. The fourth chapter contains the standard specifications for feed materials, and the fifth chapter addresses quality and feed regulations. The book concludes with the sixth chapter, which explains the impact of the environment on animal and human health the most important aspect of this book. In this endeavor, we have relied after God Almighty on modern foreign references and previously published Arabic books in this field. We hope that the reader will benefit from this work, and we ask God for success and guidance. We invoke God's words: "e;Our Lord, do not hold us accountable if we forget or make a mistake."e; (Al-Baqarah 2:286)
