This book is crafted with the intention to be a guide in your journey toward recovery and healing from trauma. It draws inspiration from my personal experiences, where gratitude for God's healing presence remains a constant. I reflect on moments when I nearly lost my life to abuse, facing the loss of a child and bearing physical scars. However, these scars have become symbols of triumph, leading to the establishment of the Purple Light Touch Foundation, PLT Massage and Wellness, and the empowering platform, the "Don't Believe The Hype Show."
This book explores the transformative power of massage, delving into the stories of those who have found solace and healing on the massage table. It emphasizes that our past does not dictate our future, drawing on personal narratives of homelessness and the fight for survival. Through these experiences, a recognition emerges that the most potent advocate for oneself is often the person in the mirror, coupled with an unwavering faith in God's constant presence and healing grace.
As readers embark on this journey through the pages, I hope that they find inspiration, comfort, and practical insights to navigate their own paths of healing. May this book serve as a beacon of hope, reminding every individual that they have the strength within to overcome traumas and redefine their futures. The journey toward healing is unique, but with the right support, faith, and self-advocacy, it is a journey that can lead to transformative triumphs.
