Son propos ne sera donc pas de confronter neuf interprétations différentes de la Ve République (celles de René Capitant, Guy Carcassonne, Dominique Rousseau, Maurice Duverger, Brigitte Gaďti, Marc Sadoun, René Rémond, Odile Rudelle et Mathias Bernard), mais de les insérer dans une démarche, une approche qui les subsume. Dépassant la stricte production individuelle, l'auteur désire effectuer une montée en généralité et s'interroger sur la pertinence effective des frontičres disciplinaires en France.
