The Security Consultant's Guide to Home Security

Michael A. Silva is an independent security consultant with over 50 years of experience in advising clients on ways that they can stay safer and better protect their property against crime. As an independent consultant, Michael doesn't sell any type of security product or receive commissions or referral fees from manufacturers or service providers, allowing him to offer unbiased recommendations to his clients.

As part of his consulting practice, Michael regularly conducts security assessments at the homes of the "rich and famous", including corporate executives, celebrities, and other high net worth
individuals. Because of the consulting time required, these security assessments are costly and not affordable to the average homeowner.

While there are dozens of books on home security already on the market, this book approaches the topic from the perspective of an independent security consultant and offers the same type of advice that would be given in a professional home security assessment costing thousands of dollars. This book was written for homeowners who can't afford to pay a consultant to conduct a security assessment but are still looking for practical ways to make their home safer and more secure.
