Es ist eine leicht gekürzte, in Details jedoch aktualisierte Fassung der Habilitationsschrift von 2020. Aufgrund der Spezifika dieser Textsorte und ihrer an die Siegelurkunde anschließbaren Geschichte werden rechtshistorische und historische Forschungsergebnisse mitberücksichtigt. Das Buch stellt keine endgültige Aussage über den Wandel einer Textsorte in einem lokalen Handlungsraum dar, geschweige denn eine Klärung dessen, was Textmusterwandel an sich ist, sondern es ist ein Pilotversuch mit textfunktional-systemtheoretische Akzentuierung. Durch ihre Verankerung in der arealen Soziopragmatik und die korpusbedingte Detailfülle stößt die Arbeit in Forschungsdesiderate vor und kann der historischen Textlinguistik Daten und Anknüpfungspunkte bieten. Das Buch soll dazu beitragen, künftig neue Fragen über das Phänomen Textsortenwandel bzw. Textmusterwandel zu stellen.
