The purpose of this book is to help improve students' readiness for colleges and careers through the creation of partnerships between high schools and colleges. To achieve this goal, the book presents detailed and practical definitions, tools, strategies, and examples to help high schools, colleges, and communities partner to improve student learning and success as they navigate from one education sector into another and into the workforce. The tools and strategies are consistent with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS); using the information presented in this book will support efforts to implement the CCSS, but they will also help schools and colleges with other partnership efforts.
