C’est l’été 1974... Richard Nixon a démissionné, c’est la grande mode des CB et dans le grand État du Texas, deux cousins échafaudent un plan pour voler 120 kg d’herbe et aller les vendre pour un million de dollars dans l'Idaho, où un cascadeur fou s’apprête à sauter par-dessus le canyon de la rivière Snake sur une moto propulsée par une fusée. Mais ils ont contrarié en chemin un gros trafiquant d’herbe, un shérif texan psychopathe, un motard revanchard et pratiquement toutes les autres personnes qu’ils ont rencontrées. Parviendront-ils à destination avant que leurs poursuivants ne les rattrapent ? Un thriller ambiance 70’s survitaminé entre Las Vegas Parano et les Blues Brothers dans lequel tout y passe : des hippies en bus VW, des culs-terreux consanguins, des trafiquants de drogue noirs experts en Kung Fu, des motards sanguinaires, des serveuses de restoroute et l’Amérique avec ses 50 étoiles, son bingo de la fiente de poulet et ses casse-cous en mal de records.
