L'hypothčse de base qui sous-tend mes recherches est de montrer comment le processus de grammaticalisation est ŕ la fois un phénomčne créateur et un modčle de régularisation. Une dualité qui nécessite la prise en compte des contraintes et des « libertés » dans la description des changements grammaticaux. Alors que les premičres manifestent la tendance ŕ la régularisation, en vue de l'intercompréhension. Les irrégularités, loin d'ętre un défaut, constituent le moteur de la langue témoignant de sa puissance et assurant sa dynamique. C'est dans cette perspective qu'il me parait possible de replacer l'étude de la triade prépositionnelle : selon, suivant et d'aprčs en montrant ŕ travers ces trois prépositions, qui sont généralement présentées comme synonymes, que, chacune présente des particularités qui la rendent singuličre.
