Lasun was a young African boy that found himself in the situation of dilemma. He had responsibility which he believed was beyond his age. On the visitation of a missionary family to Aruna community, Lasun was in a position to have a hand in the execution of those missionaries. But his mind was against this; he wished to save them. He eventually succeeded partially, and this made him become intimate with the white girl Roselyn. With the help of Tunga and Mata, Lasun was able to preserve the life of the white girl. This success in the long run launched Lasun into the world of African affairs in the Town. This was where he met the Black Boys and Black's Master. It was a war between the nationalists and the colonial government and Lasun found himself standing in the middle of the crisis. He felt so honoured to be in a position to contribute to the development of the state. His experience with Master Chima was awesome, and this bred another belief in him about Africa.
