Zielsetzung dieser Arbeit ist die deskriptive Analyse der kurdischen Syntax als ein Beitrag für die Herstellung einer kurdischen Grammatik und einer einheitlichen überregionalen Schriftsprache. Die angewandte Methodik setzt sich aus den Theorien der angewandten Sprachwissenschaft zusammen, allen voran die von Chomsky gegründete sprachwissenschaftliche Schule. Das Ergebnis dieser Arbeit dient als Prototyp, anhand dessen der zweite kurdische Hauptdialekt «Nordkurmandji» analysiert werden soll.
