Am Anfang der Sammlung stehen Aufsätze zur Methode. Es folgen Beiträge zur Dogmatik und ihren geschichtlichen Grundlagen, die nach Personenrecht, Sachenrecht und Schuldrecht gegliedert sind. Abschließend sind einige Kurzbiographien wiedergegeben.Der Reiz der Sammlung liegt in der Zusammenstellung zentraler Ergebnisse des bereits seit vier Jahrzehnten verfolgten Forschungsansatzes und in der Erleichterung des Zugangs mithilfe eines Schlagwort- und eines Quellenregisters.
