"Training...Horseback Riding" is written for children and adolescents who have learned to ride and are beginning to train. It is intended as a training companion and workbook. The question: "Training -but how?" is answered in an age appropriate and sophisticated manner. Topics include goals and motivations needed for young riders to succeed, the significance of the psyche, how to build performance for shows and how to cope with performance pressure. As in the previous book "Learning Horseback Riding", the little horse "Max" accompanies the reader throughout the book, and offers tips and suggestions, even for exercises outside of the riding arena.
