Guilty Pleasures - a work of fiction with a self-help twist - is a story about a young woman name Simone Miller who struggles to overcome Social Drama (SD), as she journeys for inner peace. But, it is her own guilty pleasure that keeps her in the midst of SD holding on to hope in a doomed relationship. Simone´s psychiatrist never told her trying the same thing over and over again expecting a different result from men who never knew love is insanity. After a string of failed relationships with Ralph, Clay, and perhaps Andy, will Simone ever stop looking for love in all the wrong places?

In her quest to conquer drama, Simone endures an on-again, off-again, relationship with her fickle lover ANDY. Schools gold-diggin KEISHA on what every woman should already know: Love comes from within...not from the back pocket of a man´s pants. And, while Simone is busy trying to tutor Keisha, her gay neighbor RITCHIE attempts to lead Simone to water, but will she drink it? And, as if Simone hasn´t suffered enough social humiliation, her sister SUSAN puts down one addiction and picks up another. Social Drama is about life in a "nutshell" - pun intended!

The most important aspect of the novel is embracing mental health in the sense of self-love and inner peace. It deals with modern issues facing people living parallels lives from all walks of life. The novel inspires self-help ideas and encourages personal reconciliation with our inner me´s through words-of-wisdom and scripture.

Guilty Pleasures is not about sex, it has a tad-bit for spice; but the core of the story is about overcoming those pleasures that often lead to self destructive behaviors and failed relationships. What´s your pleasure?

If I had to rate Guilty Pleasures on a scale I would give it a Perfect 10. For your first book/novel Congratulation on strength, courage and creativity. I loved Simone she was no
nonsense , but was always there for her friends and Family and stood for what she believed in . You go girrrrl !!!!!!

Totally not what I expected. The word "pleasures" was deceiving. I thought, oh no more SEX! But, this went beyond sex and stayed out of people´s beds and got into peoples heads, especially mine. The author´s voice is painfully honest! This is a must read...you will be impressed.

That Andy is a JERK! Simone the "royal one" kept it real. The scripture really made it a pleasant read. It´s a book that definitely has a message.
