The third volume (part 2) in the Flak series, completing the most detailed analysis of the German anti-aircraft artillery produced this far. This volume, based on the Flak Handbook, deals with the Flak employment and efficiency in its various roles: the standard role as anti-aircraft artillery and the innovative role in support of the ground forces. Relying on new documents, it shows the actual effectiveness of the Flak in the fight against the Allied aircraft, while detailing the employment in ground combat on various fronts. The book, divided in two parts, includes graphs and statistics, other than Flak manuals and instructions on tactics and doctrine. The overall command and control system of the Flak is also described in detail, from the early air raid warning system to the fire control of the single Flak Batterie. The employment in support of the army details the achievements of the Flak units, other than the difficulties they faced and their efforts in the multi-tasking and multi-role fighting. Fully illustrated with photos, graphs, maps, documents and drawings these volumes are a must not to be missed by any one with an interest on the subject, be it an enthusiast or a researcher
