żCómo se construye el estilo de vida? żcuál es la relación entre el estilo de vida y la salud? Este libro contiene una revisión exhaustiva en torno a los constructos salud y estilo de vida, se creó un modelo multidimensional y sistémico, a través del cual se identificó un triangulo de construcción donde se gestan y construyen los comportamientos que definen el estilo de vida. Los resultados sugieren que el aprendizaje de tomar licor se construye con los amigos. También se evidenció que el aprendizaje de hacer ejercicio ocurre en la escuela. Los hábitos alimenticios y la responsabilidad sexual se gestan en la familia, con influencia de la escuela. Asimismo, se descubrieron combinaciones entre diferentes aprendizajes. El estilo de vida estudiado gira en torno al sedentarismo, el sobrepeso, el consumo de alcohol y la alimentación inadecuada; lo que marca una clara tendencia a la morbilidad. Se presentan tres casos de longevidad. Los resultados sugieren que el estilo de vida es una construcción humana. Se proponen programas socioeducativos en torno al estilo de vida y la promoción de la salud.
