This book discusses properties, uses and toxicity of DDT. Chapter One reports the empty-orbital electronic structure and experimental data of dissociative electron attachment (DEA) to the gas-phase molecules DDT and its principal metabolite DDE, which possesses good electron-withdrawing abilities. Chapter Two reviews the past, present and future of DDT and pyrethroid resistance in Aedes aegypti (L.) and Aedes albopictus (Skuse). Chapter Three studies the photocatalytic selective oxidation of DDT.
