NORA PIERCE isn't running from her past, but to her future. Taking a chance, she purchases an old building over the internet and moves to the seaside town of Arch Cove. SIMON ALLEY is an outgoing, sexy, ex-baseball player who makes Nora question all the things she thought she wanted after her abusive marriage ended. Retired and trying to give a better life to his niece, Addy, Simon quits his career as a star pitcher and moves home to Arch Cove. Simon sees something familiar in Nora, another lost soul. He learns Nora is shy one moment and the next unapologetically herself. Determined to bring Nora further out of her shell, he includes her in summer activities, where she creates new relationships and gains the comfort of a loving community. Simon quickly realizes what's been missing from his own life, and hopes he can convience Nora she can love again without losing herself.
