Trenta anys després de la seva publicació, podem tornar a gaudir de la crònica sobre Barcelona que va escriure Manuel Vázquez Montalbán. L’Ajuntament de Barcelona en publica la reedició, curosa amb el text original d’Editorial Empúries. El volum, en aquesta segona edició, inclou el pròleg que l’escriptor va fer especialment per a la traducció anglesa de l’obra, que va aparèixer el 1992 , inèdit fins ara en català. Però, a més, el lector hi trobarà un seguit de notes —escrites per Quim Aranda, autor també del prefaci—, les ilúlustracions de Pau Gasol Valls, i un epíleg final a càrrec de Mari Paz Balibrea. Una obra fonamental per gaudir, entendre i estimar millor Barcelona, la capital de Catalunya. El llibre ha rebut el premi Junceda (2019) en la categoria de llibre de no-ficció adult i infantil i el premi Laus (2019) a la direcció d’art en ilúlustració i al llibre complet.
