"Bakofè" (qui signifie "derrière le fleuve" en bambara) est un poème écrit durant l'hivernage de 2005 à Ségou Koura au Mali (près de Ségou). L'auteur a vécu deux mois dans ce village au bord fu fleuve Niger, principalement parmi les Bambaras. Porté par la chaleur, des images inédites et par l'humanité paisible de ce peuple il écrit cette suite. Tentant en cela d'être au plus proche de ce qu'il voyait, vivait et ressentait. Au plus proche de la pauvreté, du simple et de la beauté des êtres et des lieux.
