This book explores the potential of relational research as a creative and participatory endeavor to produce knowledge. Bringing together insights from social construction, intersectional feminist frameworks, decolonial practices, queer theories, and queer worldmaking, it prompts researchers to reimagine the theoretical underpinnings and methodological choices that shape their work. In doing so, it aims to foster a community of practice where scholars collectively navigate the complex terrain of contemporary research to promote knowledges that are multiple and inclusive.
This edited collection invites researchers to embrace creativity and intentional relationality. These invitations embrace knowledge as co-created and hope to develop methods to address contemporary global challenges, such as climate change, the surge of populism, and the enduring legacies of colonialism, racial, gendered, and sexual marginalization. It advocates for alternative methodologies to produce useful knowledge in action, and provides practical frameworks to do so.This book is the perfect resource for students and researchers interested in imagining new ways of putting into action the insights from decolonial, inclusive, and interdisciplinary relational research methods and methodologies.
