Almost Human Nature

As the United One, Alyson is Queen of the Vampires, whether they like it or not. Persuaded by her principles or beaten in battle, vampires will fall in line. Navigating the intrigue of the Manhattan Imperials is intimidating, but the seedier vamps of Harlem are more hazardous still. Bringing new life into the world is a blessing; at least Ben and Felicity hope it will be. Ben can't help but feel resentful of the vampire blood in his child. Some of his best friends are vampires, but for others, like Lorelei, he feels nothing but a desire for revenge.
One can hardly blame him, considering the role vampires have played in his life...like Cain, who still feels deeply for Felicity, his lost love.
